Personally, I would like to have a bread knife that is at least 9 centimetres long at, although I would prefer not to have less than 10 centimetres.

Most foods that you cut with a bread knife, such as large pies and even large melons, will be difficult or even impossible to cut with a slightly shorter knife.

How to sharpen a tooth knife

The number
is often confused with the possibility of sharpening a serrated knife at home, because people find it difficult and sometimes impossible.

That’s just not the case.  Here are some invaluable methods you can use to sharpen bread knives.

The use of a ceramic grinding rod is a method that can be used with great success. They are available in different sizes and lengths.  You will want to find a knife with a diameter that matches the saw tooth of your knife.

This is really an important factor, because an abrasive rod that is too thick does not fit well in the teeth of the knife and is usually used indiscriminately.

I prefer not to put the knives in the dishwasher because I find it very difficult on the handles and the knives.
